Lactation Counseling

Brittney Kohl, CLC is a Certified Lactation Counselor with professional training in breastfeeding.

During your appointment, we can discuss any concerns you may have, breastfeeding positions, care for mom & baby, things to watch for, etc.

A typical consultation lasts about an hour and a half and includes a history and observation of a full feeding (at the breast, pumping, bottle or any combination).  Tools may be used to help support breastfeeding or be demonstrated if needed.

A write up of our consultation may be sent to your health care provider so if more follow up or other referrals are necessary it can be included in your record.

Phone and email support are included in the cost of a consultation but sometimes a follow up consultation may be necessary.

If your breastfeeding concern is beyond my scope of practice I will refer you to proper support including an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant or other professionals as necessary.

I look forward to helping you learn about the importance of breastfeeding and the different ways you can provide breast milk to your baby.
